Rotor Wuxi Celebrates 18 Years of Sino-American Air-Handling and Heat-Recovery Innovation Since 2008

The year 2026 marks the 18th anniversary of Rotor New Air Technology Wuxi Co., Ltd. Founded in 2008 in the Huishan District of Wuxi, Jiangsu, the company was established as a Sino-American joint venture focused on air-handling and heat-recovery equipment manufacturing.

Over the past eighteen years, Rotor has consistently pursued product development and manufacturing along four main lines: ventilation, air conditioning, heat recovery, and dehumidification. The company has gradually built a complete product portfolio that covers plate-type heat exchangers, tube-type heat exchangers, rotary heat-recovery units, total heat exchangers, desiccant-wheel dehumidifiers, modular air-handling units, and direct-expansion (DX) air-conditioning units. These products are widely used in food processing, pharmaceutical, electronics cleanroom, medical, large public-building, commercial complex, industrial plant, and data-centre applications.

Throughout the eighteen years, Rotor has participated in a number of high-profile industry projects, including the HVAC systems for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, the 2019 Wuhan Military World Games, the 880-unit emergency supply for the 2020 Wuhan Huoshenshan Hospital, and the 74 air-cooled heat-pipe units for the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. These projects have sharpened Rotor's ability to handle large-scale engineering, emergency response, and multi-region coordination, and have also tested the company's products under different climates, operating conditions, and tight project schedules.

The Sino-American joint-venture background allows Rotor to combine mature North American engineering standards with domestic regulatory compliance and localized manufacturing and service. In R&D investment, Rotor continues to drive technology iterations around three directions: energy efficiency, operational stability, and low-dew-point performance. The energy-efficiency direction focuses on optimizing heat-recovery efficiency and system pressure drop. The stability direction focuses on improving equipment reliability across different temperatures, humidities, and loads. The low-dew-point direction focuses on lowering the minimum outlet dewpoint and long-term operational reliability of desiccant-wheel dehumidifiers.

Looking ahead, Rotor will continue to use Wuxi as its R&D and manufacturing base, focus on the air-handling and heat-recovery field, and work closely with design institutes, engineering contractors, and industry customers to provide reliable ventilation and air-conditioning solutions for the food, pharmaceutical, electronics, medical, and large public-building sectors.
